Privacy Policy

Data controller

TRAAKER, the publisher of Traaker (full details in our legal notice), is the controller for personal data collected via the Platform and traaker.ai.

Data collected

  • Account: first name, last name, work email, hashed password.
  • Tracked brand: website URL, industry, market, country, language.
  • Billing: company name, address, VAT number, payment data (handled by Stripe, never stored by us).
  • Usage: technical access logs, anonymized product metrics.

Purposes

  • Provide the subscribed service and bill it.
  • Communicate with the Customer (support, product notifications, contractual updates).
  • Improve the Platform via aggregated and anonymized analyses.
  • Comply with our legal and accounting obligations.

Legal basis

Performance of the contract (terms and conditions) for account and billing data; legitimate interest for anonymised product analytics and Platform security; consent for audience-measurement and advertising cookies as well as for marketing communications; legal obligation for accounting retention.

Sub-processors

We use the following sub-processors. Each is bound by a data processing agreement, and transfers outside the European Union are covered as described in the next section. Full details are set out in our data processing addendum (DPA).

  • Amazon Web Services (United States): Platform hosting, database, storage, authentication, transactional email delivery, and execution of AI models through Amazon Bedrock.
  • Stripe (United States, Ireland): payment processing and invoicing.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity (United States): API calls to query generative AI engines and measure the public visibility of the tracked brand.
  • Serper (United States): programmatic access to public search results.
  • HubSpot (United States): customer relationship management. Receives account data and the administrator's email address.
  • Google Ireland: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, for audience measurement and advertising, only after you have given consent.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland, LinkedIn Ireland, Microsoft Ireland (Clarity): advertising campaign measurement and browsing analysis on the marketing website, only after you have given consent.
  • CookieYes (India, United Kingdom): collection and storage of the record of your cookie choices.
  • Calendly (United States): demo meeting booking.

Hosting and transfers outside the European Union

The Platform is hosted with Amazon Web Services in the us-east-1 region (Northern Virginia, United States). Your data is therefore transferred to and processed outside the European Union.

These transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses incorporated into the AWS Data Processing Addendum, supplemented by the following technical measures: encryption at rest of all data, encryption in transit, per-customer segregation and restricted access. Amazon Web Services and Stripe are also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The same safeguards apply to the other sub-processors established outside the European Union.

Retention period

  • During the subscription: account, brand and audit data is retained for the entire term of the subscription.
  • After cancellation: the account and its data are retained for 12 months, so that you can reactivate your subscription without starting over, then deleted automatically.
  • Immediate deletion: you can request the deletion of all of your account data at any time, from Settings, Billing in the Platform or by email. Deletion then takes place within 30 days of the end of the subscription, or within 30 days of the request if the subscription has already ended.
  • Billing: invoices and accounting records are retained for 10 years, in accordance with the statutory retention obligation.
  • Technical logs: retained for 30 days.

AI training data

No Customer data is used to train AI models, whether by Traaker or by our sub-processors. Calls to AI engines to measure a brand's public visibility contain no private Customer data.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability over your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights: privacy@traaker.ai. We respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or with the French CNIL.

When you use the Platform to track your brand, you act as controller and Traaker as processor: the terms of that processing are set out in our data processing addendum (DPA).

Cookies and trackers

Marketing website traaker.ai. The website sets strictly necessary cookies (including cookieyes-consent, which stores your choice) and remembers your language preference (traaker-lang in localStorage). These trackers do not require your consent.

Subject to your consent, collected through our cookie management banner, we also use:

  • Audience measurement: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity.
  • Advertising: Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. In that context, Google Ads may receive a hashed version of the email address entered in our forms, in order to match a signup with the corresponding ad click.

These trackers are loaded through Google Tag Manager and remain blocked by default until you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie management widget displayed on the website, or by writing to us at privacy@traaker.ai. Until you have given consent, Google tools may receive an anonymous, cookieless measurement (IP address and page viewed), without any advertising identifier being created.

When you create an account after clicking one of our ads, we store the ad click identifier and the campaign parameters (gclid, utm_source, utm_campaign) alongside your account, in order to measure where our signups come from.

Application app.traaker.ai. The application uses the cookies and local storage strictly necessary for authentication and your display preferences, together with the audience measurement described above.
